Happy Holidays!

11/27/18 - We would like to extend our sincerest and warmest wishes to you and your family this holiday season. We are honored to work with so many families and we thank you for choosing Advocates for your support services.

State-wide, continued progress has been made in the services offered to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Because of this, we have been able to help individuals and their families create a vision for the future and most importantly, provide a way to achieve it. We are fortunate to be able to offer so many opportunities through Self-Directed Services, Family Reimbursement, Family Recreation, Family Training and Care Management. Within the last 10 years, we have been able to dramatically increase the number of individuals and families that we provide supports and services (please refer to page 6). In addition, Advocates now employs more than 900 Central New York workers and they all contribute to the success of our organization. We are grateful to have the opportunity to support people, families and staff.

As we near the end of 2018, our accomplishments include providing over $1.7 million in financial assistance to individuals and their families for medical expenses and adaptive equipment not covered by insurance, YMCA memberships, classes, summer camp scholarships, therapeutic horseback riding, adaptive swimming lessons, and transportation; and providing a mix of supports and services to more than 900 children and adults in Central New York.

To the families that we serve, our staff and board, our warmest wishes for a happy and safe holiday season.
