Eyal Sherman

Eyal Sherman, 28 years old, was born in Syracuse, New York. He is a recent graduate of Syracuse University. He has been quadripalegic and ventilator dependent since he was five years old when he was diagnosed with a brain stem tumor.

He says “My own life story is such that I do not see problems as problems, but rather as challenges and opportunities. The old thinking was that, after six months of the kinds of problems that I have had, what you see is what you get. I know better. Every day there is an opportunity for greater growth. Every day I see and I know there is further recovery.”

Eyal creates his artwork using a mouthstick. His work has been displayed in several shows in Syracuse as well as Florida. His paintings are colorful and lively, representing his philosophy on life.
